Reka Cables was accepted into the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate responsibility initiative

The UN Global Compact is a voluntary, world’s largest corporate responsibility-promoting global initiative established by the UN in 2000 for both companies and other organizations. It offers its members a responsibility framework whose principles and goals are known all over the world. Global Compact accepted Reka Cables Ltd as part of its network in November.

In its own responsibility work, Reka Cables has already committed to the UN’s sustainable development goals, e.g. in terms of sustainable industry, working life and the environment. By joining the Global Compact initiative, Reka Cables commits to the Ten Principles related to human rights, working conditions, the environment and the prevention of bribery, which make it possible to achieve the UN’s global sustainable development goals.

Signatory communities of the Global Compact initiative must report on their progress with an annual CoE report. Reka Cables will submit its first CoE report in the spring of 2023.
